Foundation Physics is part of the Cambridge Modular Sciences series for
A and AS levels. It provides an introduction to some of the fundamental
concepts in advanced physics and can be used as a basis for further
study. It contains material from the new A level common core that covers
physical quantities and units, Newton's laws of motion, work and energy,
waves, DC electricity and atomic structure. To help students with study
and revision, there are self-assessment questions throughout the text, a
list of learning objectives at the start of each chapter and a summary
of contents at the end. Structured and essay questions also appear at
the end of each chapter. Guidance for teachers can be found in the
teachers' notes for the module which are published separately.
